Throughout the '80's James Varnam played the Austral-Asian PGA Circuit. Somewhere along the line his teammates and friends discovered he was not from Australia, but from a destination unfamiliar to them and many at that time. A place called New Zealand.

Soon after, James began sharing New Zealand with his first group of golfers, and during this visit, he realized his life was about to change, In 1989, James began Mana with the goal of sharing the unique manaakitanga of Aotearoa Land of the Long White Cloud.

Over the past 18 years, Mana Luxury Golf has grown into one of the country's leading elite travel operators. Guided by James' contagious enthusiasm, his keen golf expertise and a genuine love for travel and people, we've realized a loyal following, spectacular staff, destinations and dreams.
